No mention has been made of what powers this clock/pendulum. While the design enables the clock to self-regulate, Mr. Boyer has not managed, with this particular design, to incorporate self-power thereby creating a self-regulating, perpetual motion machine clock. I understand however, that in his spare time he may be working on such a gadget. This clock is powered by a rather pedestrian mainspring (hidden in behind) which is wound every 30 hours or so with a key. The pendulum 'Bob', which in this case is the clock itself, moves only about 3/16th on an inch. In fact there is so little movement that from across the room it appears the clock is not moving at all. Here's a short video which shows the clock in action.
