It's two thousand and nine, oh nine, oh nine today, so it would have been good to have had nine Klatsch attendees just for a bit of cosmic convergence. Alas, 'twas not to be. Seven is a pretty good turnout, though, so thnax everybody! As is usual with Cadence Coffee pics, there is an inordinate amount of floor showing in the shot. That's because the KlatschMeister likes the floor at Cadence but also because, in a bit of back 'n' forth before Klatsch day, Lawrence and El Klatscho ruminated on the subject of giant chess boards and Lawrence recalled seeing one when he was a kid on holiday in Elk Island Park. Another alas, no one brought any giant chess men so we were not able to have a game. After we put the tables back (when Duggy Wuggy encouraged the staff at Cadence to beat on us if we didn't) the KlatschMeister spotted some nice light coming through the window onto the jam caddy so he tried a close-up. It turned out O.K. so he felt compelled to share it with the world....

Following the Klatsch, as his custom when in Bowness, the KlatschMeister dropped in to see what he could see at Sunnyside Greenhouse. There are usually colorful and artistically-arranged displays there and today was no exception.

Couldn't really figure what season or holiday is being marked here but it was nice just the same.
